About

Isaac Bell

Puma is a German owned international sports apparel company with its headquarters being located in Herzogenaurach, Germany. Puma has been one of the most famous brands in the world since 1948, serving some of the fastest athletes in the world. Usain Bolt was one of the best athletes in the world, and still is for many reasons, so with their target market for track and field, they can suit up the fastest athletes in the world in their apparel to make them perform at an even higher level. Puma targeted other sports and landed some star basketball players from Walt Frazier to Vince Carter in their prime. Puma has expanded their radar and signed young basketball players in the NBA, Deandre Ayton from the Suns, Marvin Bagley III from the Kings, Michael Porter Jr out of Denver, Zhaire Smith from the Hawks, Rudy Gay who used to be arguably one of the best rookies ever, Kyle Kuzma from the Lakers, and even Skylar Diggins in 2017 who plays for the Dallas Wings. Puma is planning for them, and the brands future very well by investing in the worlds best young basketball players, sky rocketing their stock since 2017.

With that being said, Puma has been working furiously over the past few years getting their brand back on track after Vince Carter lost a $13.5 million dollar contract, or I should say he lost a $13.5 million dollar lawsuit saying he purposefully breached his contract by wearing And 1 shoes.

Starting the recruitment to build the brand back into today’s society, Puma signed rapper Jay-Z as the President of basketball operations. Over the course of Jay-Z’s easy recruitment of the great young talent in the NBA, Puma has also signed Meek Mill, Rhianna, and Big Sean, that might not be relevant but those celebrities are a huge signing piece to the brand to get them back on track.

Just last year Puma unveiled the new basketball shoe for everyone to start wearing, who would’ve thought Puma would have yet another stock rise after seeing the young talent wearing these sort of lame, but yet very stylish shoes out on the court. I went out of my way to buy some x-ray printed Puma basketball shoes, they are comfortable, and they perform at an average level for a player of my caliber, I just don’t think Puma will be relevant for very long when these players grow into great players.
